JACKSON — Jackson police say a 16-year-old girl involved in a fatal accident a week ago has been cited for driving without a license and no insurance.
Jackson police spokeswoman Colendula Green says officers are also looking into reports that the girl was on her cell phone or possibly texting when the accident occurred.
Police say 45-year-old Jackson banker William H. "Bill" Lofton died in the Aug. 25 accident. Police say his motorcycle was hit by an SUV on a south Jackson street. Lofton was pronounced dead at the scene.
