Ex-bank executive banned from working at banks

JACKSON (AP) — Officials say a former First National Bank of Pontotoc executive has been banned from working at any federally insured bank.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency says in a news release it entered a consent agreement with William W. Anderson Jr., a former vice president and branch manager of the Pontotoc bank.

The agency says Anderson, who worked at the bank from 1989 to 2004, discriminated against women by allegedly "subjecting them to severe and pervasive sexual harassment in connection with real estate-related transactions and other credit transactions."

The OCC says in a statement released Monday that Anderson agreed to the ban without admitting any wrongdoing.
