2nd Corinthians 4:8-9
8. We are trouble on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
9. Persecuted, but not forsaken: cast down, but not destroyed:
We face so much in life. A lot of people tend to look down on us because we are not where they expect us to be. At times that can be very discouraging. I remember when I was younger, I use to hear people say, “Just be patient with me, God isn’t done with me yet.”
Why do we tend to motion our lives according to what people perceive we should be? Instead of being honest with ourselves and moving at a pace where we know we can obtain the victory.
I may not look like you look. I may not have the money you have. I may not live where you live. Or even do what you do. One thing I can say, is that I am somebody. Somebody with purpose. Somebody with meaning. I may not be where you are. God knows I have come a long ways from where I was. Don’t Count Me Out, when you see me with my hair tied down in public; when you see tears streaming down my face; or even when my electricity is cut off. I will bounce back. Have you ever stopped to think that I may be going through 2nd Corinthians 4:8&9.
I may be TROUBLED, which means under pressure. You have so many burdens and concerns in life that are just weighing you down. Even though I am under pressure, I am not DISTRESSED (not gonna worry about it) if God be is for me. Who or what can stand against me. Then he said, we are PERPLEXED (confused).
Have you ever been going through so much, that you didn’t know which way to turn? Your like a ship without a sail. You have no guidance no one to direct you. The shouting news is that, you’re not in DESPAIR (not gonna loose your mind). I may not know where I am going, but I thank God I know who I am.
9th verse says, PERSECUTED (talked about). It’s bad when you’re already down and out and people start talking about you. Especially the ones that you thought were on your side. Then people lying and making up stuff, like your situation isn’t bad enough. Walking in the grocery store and see people whisper as you walk by. You know they’re talking about you. Does anybody know what I am talking about?
To me the worst of it all, is when they set you up to fall. How can you look me in my face proclaiming to be my friend and plotting behind my back.? The testimony is that God said I wasn’t Forsaken (not forgotten about). I may have been talked about, but I am surely not forgot about. As long as God has got me on His mind. What you say or think shouldn’t have any effect on where I am about to go.
Then it said CAST DOWN (broken-up). Have you ever been so hurt, it was like a stiffening in your life? You could barely eat, think, or even move. It hurt so bad you couldn’t even gather yourself. Felt like the pieces of your life were all over the place. You didn’t know where to begin to look to bring your life back into focus. It got so bad for some of us that we didn’t want to get out of the bed in the morning. Didn’t want to answer the phone or be bothered with folks – period. May have been so broken you couldn’t trust anyone not even yourself.
One thing God secured us with was we were not DESTROYED (not messed up). They should have held me down when I was at the bottom since they gave me an opportunity to get up. It isn’t over. So Don’t Count Me Out! I am coming up and coming out. I shall be where God wants me to be. It may not be today or tomorrow. Someday I will be delivered and not destroyed. When you could only see the worst in me, God was looking at the best in me. What He saw, He used, to get me back where I needed to be.
I get tired of us attacking each other like we are a pack of ravenous wolves. We are suppose to reflect the Power, Presence, and the Purity of God. If you don’t do anything else, Don’t Count Me Out!
All I need is some witness that can testify to what I am saying and write me @ 40 Eratta Rd. Laurel, Ms 39443 or e-mail drevangelistmapp@aol.com. Share with me what you think about the articles. Hope they are helpful. Love you all very much and thanks for reading.

Around It or Through It
Recently, I had an irritation and wanted to go around it, but that is not how the story goes. I had a huge ulcer in my cheek; I was miserable and asked a doctor to help my pain. Instead of giving me a cure, He told me that I would be fine in a couple of weeks. That was not what I wanted to hear; I was in pain and a couple of weeks sounded like an eternity!

Pain to Blessing
My sister, Janie, is having surgery soon. Mom is going out to Colorado to help her through the recuperation. Dad and I can help by sending Mom who is a pro at caring for her girls. Mom will be sure Janie has everything she needs and will help her do what she cannot do for herself. Janie is not looking forward to the pain of surgery, but she is looking forward to feeling better.

Shining Glory
Across from my breakfast table is a window which overlooks a big oak tree. Since we get up early, it is still dark outside. I know there is a tree out there, but only a dim outline can be seen. Little by little, I begin to see the shape of a tree. When the sun is fully shining on it, that tree is beautiful with an orange glow. However, it does not come into view the minute I sit down. It takes time for the tree to appear, but after I finally see its full beauty, it is well worth the wait.

How does the Bible describe Hell?
The devil is very sly in how he aims to redirect men, women, and children away from the need of the hour. One of his most common deceptions is to strive to convince both the unbeliever (irreligious and religious) and the true believer (Luke 22:31-32; Ephesians 6:13-17) that things are just not exactly how the Bible depicts them. He whispers that the Bible is archaic, full of errors, the source of legend and myth . . . and if you are not persuaded, he will aim to convince you that God is a hard Master (Matthew 25:24), or even worse, an unreasonable party-pooper (1 Peter 1:16).
