The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art will present author John David Williams as speaker for the next installment of Art Talk on Thursday, Nov. 19 at noon in the Lower Level Lecture Hall.
Williams is the co-author of Fearless Entertaining Flowers with Catherine Strange. He has over 18 years experience in interior design, floral design and event coordinating and brings an undeniable style to all he does.
Williams is the owner of Designs by “John David Williams” and resides in Hattiesburg.
The pair first met years ago while working in the fashion industry and reconnected later when both worked in the field of special events planning and home enhancement.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, Strange has lived in the Hawaiian Islands, Pacific Northwest, Texas, before making her home in Mississippi. She credits her exposure to the different regions of the country for her love for entertaining and capability for mixing styles.
Williams will sign copies of Fearless Flowers immediately following Art Talk.
Art Talk, sponsored by West Quality Food Services, Inc., is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to use the North Garden Entrance and bring a sack lunch.
Desserts and beverages will be provided.

Boundaries
Just as each of us has a need for physical safety, we also have a need for emotional or psychological safety. Boundaries is the term we use to define what helps us feel safe and comfortable in relationships. We have all had the experience of feeling like another person was closer to us physically than was comfortable. So too it is important to define for yourself how close you want to be with others emotionally. Naturally, this varies with who the other person is.
