The Heidelberg Academy Rebels competed in hoops earlier this week. On Monday, the Lady Rebels fell to Simpson Academy 42-35, while the Rebels lost 59-20.
In the girls game, Cynthia Hilton paced the way with 12 points, while Kirstin Prunera tallied 6 points. In the guys game, Austin McCardle finished the game with seven points, while Skyler Prunera had four points.
On Tuesday, Heidelberg Academy hit the road to Lamar Christian. The Lady Rebels won 56-20, while the guys fell 61-41.
Hilton paced the way for the Lady Rebels with 17 points, while Prunera and Ashley Reeves each added 11.
In the guys game, McCardle totaled 16 points, while Prunera chipped in seven points.
The Lady Rebels improve to 5-4 on the season, 1-0 in district, while the guys fell to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in district. Heidelberg Academy will host Russell Christian Friday.

The Laurel Knight Hawks captured the Mississippi Christian Home Educators (MCHE) state basketball championship Monday in Jackson. In the final game of the double elimination tournament, the Knight Hawks defeated the two year reigning state champions, Jackson Victors, with a final score of 67-64.
