LAUREL — JCJC sports ticket packages

Jones County Junior College is offering two “Sports Ticket” packages for Bobcat fans for the upcoming school year. Fans can purchase a “Couples Package” for $185. This will give them two adult tickets to all regular season home football games, including two adult ‘tailgating’ meals before each game. They will also receive two adult tickets to regular season home basketball, baseball, softball and soccer games, as well as membership in the Bobcat Club and JCJC Alumni Association. Fans can purchase a “Family Package” for $295. This will give them two adult tickets to all regular season home football games, plus tickets for children 18 and under, as well as two adult and children’s “tailgating” meals before each home game. They will also receive two adult and children’s tickets to regular season home basketball, baseball, softball and soccer games, as well as membership in the Bobcat Club and JCJC Alumni Association (two adults). JCJC selling tickets for Hall of Fame dinner on Sept. 17

The 2010 Class of the Jones County Junior College Sports Hall of Fame will be inducted in a ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 17, at the Ronald E. Whitehead Advanced Technology Center in the Howard Technology Park. Carlos Ray McDaniel, Mike McClellan and Dr. Joe-Michael Robertson will be the three inductees into the Hall of Fame this year. The group will be honored with a dinner on Sept. 17 and will be recognized during halftime of the Sept. 18 game against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Tickets for the Hall of Fame dinner are $20 each and may be purchased by calling Amie Herrington at 601-477-4049. Deadline to purchase tickets is Sept. 3.



Final Powers Booster Club football sign up Aug. 17

Powers Booster Club will be holding ONE FINAL football sign up on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Northeast Jones High School soccer field behind NEJ High School at 6:30 pm.  The cost will be $65 for the first child and $50 for additional.  Please have your child’s birth certificate and fees at time of registration.  Children ages 5-12 and live in the Powers Community or played for Powers last year are eligible to play. Soso football registration set for Tuesday, Aug. 10

Soso football sign up is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Soso football field. Flag football registration is $40. Pee Wee and Youth registration is $70. Physicals will be done on site for $10. Participants must bring a copy of birth certificate.



Laurel/Jones County Fall Baseball League registration

Laurel Jones County Fall Baseball League  2010 season registration is Saturday, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Laurel Sportsplex concession stand. This is for ages 6 to 12, and out of town players welcome. Regstration fee is $65 per player, sponsor your favorite team for $125. Sandersville Booster Club has softball tourney Aug. 14

The Sandersville Booster Club is hosting a co-ed softball tournament, rescheduled for Aug. 14 at the Sandersville Ballfield. Entry fee is $150. For more information, contact Clint Cotten at 601-433-9618.



Shady Grove football registration slated Tuesday

Shady Grove has football registration on Tuesday, August 10 at the Shady Grove Football Field from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Registration fee for Youth and Pee Wee leagues is $65, while it’s $45 for Flag. A copy of the birth certificate is required at registration. Physicals will be given for $10. Any questions, contact Todd Allred at 601-874-0773.

 

Glade Flag Football sign-up scheduled for August 16

Registration for Glade Elementary Flag Football is Aug. 16 at the school fieldhouse. The fee is $40. For more information, contact John Ellis at 601-433-4274.
