Laurel Country Club hosting NTRP Tennis Tournament starting March 12

The annual Burroughs Companies NTRP Tennis Tournament will be held at the Laurel Country Club, March 12-14.

This is one of the largest area tournaments and attracts over 100 players from throughout the state. Flights will be singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The cost for the events are singles ($42) and $33 per player for the doubles events.

Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place. Each participant will receive a tournament t-shirt . On tournament Saturday, March 13, a free players lunch will be served at the Laurel Country Club main building.

The Laurel Knight Hawks captured the Mississippi Christian Home Educators (MCHE) state basketball championship Monday in Jackson. In the final game of the double elimination tournament, the Knight Hawks defeated the two year reigning state champions, Jackson Victors, with a final score of 67-64.
