Lexi Tuttle of State Line was excited to learn Monday that her wish to meet entertainer Miley Cyrus will come true. Lexi, who suffers from transverse myelitis, found out during a Make-A-Wish ceremony at the Town Square in Waynesboro that she will be going to a Miley Cyrus concert in North Carolina and meet the singer backstage. Pictured with Lexi is her mother, Amanda Hubbard and Waynesboro Fire Chief Buster Crocker, who helped make the wish come true. JCJC’s student health fair focusing on prevention
Jones County Junior College students recently had the opportunity to discover the true meaning of Benjamin Franklin’s motto, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” at the college’s Student Health Fair. Hundreds of students took advantage of the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics including behavioral problems, nutrition, fitness, and foot care.
