The Mississippi Highway Patrol Monday (MHP) released the name of a woman fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday morning north of Ellisville.
An MHP spokesman identified the victim as Carolyn F. Whitley, 72, of Ellisville.
According to the report, she was driving a Lincoln Town Car when it left Highway 29 and crashed into a tree in the yard of a home at the highway’s intersection with Buffalo Hill Road. The accident occurred shortly before 11 a.m.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Whitley are on Page 2A of today’s edition of the Laurel Leader-Call.
