NEW – Motorhome Diaries crew file suit against JCSD

From staff reports

Attorneys for the Motorhome Diaries trio arrested in May by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department have mailed their intent to sue letter.

Jackson-based lawyer Michael Cory, who represents Pete Eyre, Adam Mueller and Jason Talley, sent a 16-page letter to the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi State Highway Patrol and Chancery Clerk Larry Ishee Monday.

The letter seeks a total of more than $30,000 in special damages as well as $250,000 in general damages for the men.

Attorneys claim a traffic stop, which resulted in the arrests of Eyre, Mueller and Talley, was illegal and cite other abuses by the department.

Jones County Sheriff Alex Hodge is in Jackson and was not immediately available for comment.
