Maternal grandparents are Gerrie Cruise of Stringer and Howard and Marie Cruise of Pascagoula.
Paternal grandparents are Madeline Mitchell of Laurel and the late Jerry Mitchell. The baby has two siblings, Kristina, 16; and Marlie Mitchell, 2.
The mother is the former Sallie Cruise.
