Netflix released the first full-length trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Wednesday, giving fans the best look yet into the dark and mysterious town of Greendale. In the new adaptation of the character, Sabrina is forced between the mortal world and the witch world when she refuses to sign herself over to witches when she turns sixteen. Although it was developed by the producers of Riverdale, make no mistake: This series is vastly different from the world of Archie Andrews.
Sabrina stars Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka as the titular half-human, half-witch, who's trying to balance her education as a sorceress with her normal life at Baxter High. But it's complicated, with her favorite (and possessed) teacher Mary Wardell (Michelle Gomez) becoming Madame Satan, a vengeful spirit determined to destroy Sabrina and everything she holds dear.
Ahead of the new show's presence at New York Comic Con, those willing to walk the path of night can get acquainted with the darker elements of the 10-episode series from Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa - who also wrote the gothic horror comic book on which this version of Sabrina is based. There's also a clip of Salem, and Aunt Hilda and Zelda (Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto). Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comes to Netflix October 26. Annnd now we're more excited than ever for October 26.
