EPL: Ian Wright reveals why Arsenal must allow Ramsey leave

The Gunners lie fourth on the table, level on points with London neighbours Chelsea and one point behind league leaders Manchester City and Liverpool.

Arsenal are right to have made a "big statement" in contract talks with Aaron Ramsey, says Ian Wright, with the Gunners making it clear that they will not be held to ransom.

France worldwide Lacazette joined Arsenal past year for a then-club record fee but Aubameyang set a new mark of £56 million ($73 million) when he joined from Borussia Dortmund in January.

"We have to keep quiet and work like we did before and the season is going well".

He has contributed to the winning run which has seen Arsenal challenge on all fronts, mere months after the end of Arsene Wenger's 22-year reign at the club.

"The team spirit is good, of course when you win it is better".

'I have to stick with Arsenal, they have to make this kind of stance, the amount of players we've lost in this fashion. "It is very hard but we must prepare, continue improving and show big commitment", said Emery.

Aubameyang's arrival cast doubt on Lacazette's future at the club but the pair have clicked on and off the pitch, mustering 11 goals between them this season.

Aubameyang is Arsenal FC's top-scorer this season with six goals in all competitions, including four in the league, as he continues his great start to life in English football.

Slavisa Jokanovic's side are the only Premier League team yet to keep a clean sheet this season - but the Whites boss is not about to park the bus in an attempt to turn things around.

"Riyad feels deflated, he feels he has let us down", he said. Aaron's had a lot of injuries, but I watched him against Cardiff - and he played the whole game.
