Heading into the 2018 National Football League season on Sunday against the division rival Chicago Bears, Rodgers and company are considered the favorites at -7.
After he did so, Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris sacked him and landed right on Rodgers' left knee.
New Bears All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack didn't waste time showing off his expensive price tag in his debut against the Packers on Sunday. Rodgers grabbed at his leg, tried to get back up, and went back down again before he was finally able to limp off the field and into the blue medical tent on the sidelines.
Veteran sports reporter Skip Bayless reported that Rodgers, "Appeared to be slightly shaking his head as the cart took him to the locker room. and his eyes looked a little teary".
The loss of Rodgers obviously is a tough blow given he missed a good chunk of last season due to a broken collar bone suffered in Week 6.
Rodgers was replaced by DeShone Kizer, who the Packers traded for during the offseason after he started for the Browns during his rookie year.
