Ariana Grande Reportedly Played Pivotal Role in Mac Miller's Sobriety

Speaking to E! News, the 26-year-old singer said: "We talked nearly every day and I don't get a lot of friends who come into my life who I hit it off with so quickly".

The "Attention" star then became quite tearful, as he said "I always thought I'd be the one to help him get clean and to lead him onto the path of a good, clean, sober life".

Mac and Ariana were very in love, Shane remarked, and "Ariana was incredible when he was first sobering up". "[And] there was no one in his life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober", Shane continued.

"I saw that. I was around it, I took phone calls from her [asking] 'how do I help?" But it's one person's tribute that people appreciate because of how intimately she knew him.

Miller's struggle with sobriety was no secret.
