Ariana Grande Posts Tribute for Mac Miller After His Death

Fellow pop star Ariana Grande, who dated Miller seriously for almost two years, has not publicly addressed news of his death.

'He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Neither side revealed his cause of death, but the celebrity news site TMZ, which first reported the death, cited unnamed sources as saying he had overdosed on drugs.

'Although the two ended their relationship, Ariana always shared a deep connection with Mac and wanted nothing but the best for him, ' an insider told ET Online. He was with her during the tragic event in Manchester, England when a terrorist killed 22 people with a bomb at her concert. Last year, a week after the couple split, Miller was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run.

In a statement about her breakup with Miller, Grande said there were times when the "toxic relationship" took its toll.

Ariana Grande took to Instagram Saturday in the wake of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller's death a day earlier. He told the crowd: "I swear, life is so f***ing fragile. Yeah. But am I a drug addict? No". "It's a awful situation, it's bad enough that Ariana is suffering the trauma of losing somebody she cared deeply about, but then to be blamed for his death is just despicable, it's such a low blow and totally unwarranted", the source continued.

"I don't want to be depressed".

"I wish it started tomorrow", he said. The future president was flattered by the song, although he described the lyrics as "a little hard to understand". Immediately following the news there was an outpouring of emotion around the rapper's passing.

Rapper G-Eazy also paid tribute to Miller during a show in Florida. "Way too soon. Rest In Peace Mac".

Chance the Rapper credited Miller with helping him early in his career and called him "one of the sweetest guys I ever knew".
