Apple looks on the bright side with new iPhones

Gone are the days of the "Plus" model, but the idea is all the same. The phones have a better sound experience that actually plays well through the speakers.

That iPhone X you have? It starts at $749 for a 64GB version, and there are also 128GB and 256GB versions.

The sitemap also listed a range of leather and silicone cases for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

But it does have the same A12 Bionic that the top-level iPhone XS has as well as iOS 12 installed, so it should be pretty nippy. Although, when you put it into perspective, that's only $100 more. If you are someone that upgraded at a later date, you might have to pay more.

Just open your browser and head to apple.com or click on the link below-in the past it required using an Apple product, but now they've opened it up to any modern browser. One other perk: The iPhone XR will be available in a variety of colors including black, red, white, blue, coral and yellow.

Both phones feature the new six-core A12 Bionic processor which boasts a 7nm process.

One of the most interesting new features Apple announced had to do with its new iPhone cameras.

Switching over to cellular connectivity, Dual SIM support is coming with these new iPhone models via a software update this fall. The iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr are undoubtedly "the most incredible smartphones ever created", as Tim Cook and his band of merry execs spent almost two hours explaining to us today.

Just like last year's iPhone X model. We'll see new iPhones, probably new iPad Pro models, new AirPods, and we will more than likely see a new MacBook model for good measure.

You'll also be able to create what Apple calls a "Memoji". This new 7nm chip offers a 6-core CPU with two performance cores that Apple says is up to 15 percent faster and up to 40 percent lower power, as well as four efficiency cores.

Apple has a habit of throwing in a few surprises at its launch events so expect plenty of other shiny new gadgets to be unveiled including a new Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch is getting some big upgrades.

Called iPhone XS, it is made of surgical steel. But when you're constantly lifting the watch to your ear and struggling to hear what it's saying, it takes away some of the fun of having a device like this.

Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple Inc., speaks during an event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California, U.S., on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018.

In preparation for the arrival of new products, Apple's regular practice involves taking down its online store hours before any announcements.

The new phones include improved augmented reality features.

How about a new operating system instead?
