'American Horror Story' Season 8 Trailer Brings the Apocalypse

Taissa Farmiga, for example, is playing both Violet (Murder House) and Zoe (Coven), while Paulson is pulling triple duty as Billie Dean (Murder House), Cordelia (Coven) and a mysterious new character named Venable, created specifically for Apocalypse.

Everyone has their favorite season of American Horror Story and now, Apocalypse is bringing back two fan favorites!

Ryan Murphy teased the release of the trailer one hour before its release on Twitter with little context, but enough hype to send fans into a frenzy. The two different seasons had dramatically different endings when they concluded, with Murder House ending with the impending arrival of the Antichrist and Coven ending with the witch school happily opening itself up to the public.

Michael is confirmed to be a focal point of Season 8, and although the "Apocalypse" moniker doesn't seem to fit with the crossover seasons, the trailer amps up the end of the world vibe with wailing sirens and hazmat suits. Many other cast members from the Coven season are scheduled to come back to the fold, including Jessica Lange, marking her return to AHS for the first time since season four's Freak Show.

The preview also features a first look at the Michael Langdon character, portrayed by newcomer Cody Fern.

In it, Leslie Grossman and Evan Peters are seen aboard a private aircraft, along with Dynasty legend Joan Collins, when an ominous announcement rattles through the cabin: 'It's the end of the world'. The American Horror Story franchise has received 28 Emmy nominations and four wins over its previous six seasons.

Murphy has been pretty tight lipped about the new season of AHS. Hit PLAY on the trailer above, then drop a comment with your hopes for the Apocalypse below.
