The "informal arrangement" agreed between the two, Jolie's lawyer states, has not been followed by Pitt however a source familiar with the situation tells Metro.co.uk that "Brad fulfills his commitments".
The actress, 43, is shooting the sequel to Maleficent in London, while the actor, 54, is filming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in L.A. Pitt has also spent time with at least five of his six children in the United Kingdom, after a judge ruled "not having a relationship with their father is harmful".
Per NBC News, the court filing did not define what is "meaningful" support.
The source also tells ET that although Tuesday's court filing was filed by attorney Samantha Bley DeJean, high-powered attorney Laura Wasser is still working on Jolie's case, and that DeJean and Wasser are working together.
According to TMZ, the documents state that Pitt has not paid "meaningful child support" since they first separated nearly two years ago. It's not been made clear what agreement they previously reached, if any, regarding child support.
The judge warned Jolie directly, "If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt]".

"[Pitt] has a duty to pay child support".
However, given the history of child support payments between celebrities, it's likely that Pitt would have to pay a substantial amount each year.
Reps for Pitt did not immediately return InStyle's request for comment.
But a source claims to ET that Jolie's latest move is in retaliation over the actress being ordered by a judge in June to help fix her children's relationship with Pitt.
Jolie's team is asking for a status conference to address the issue. And as I said, we are and forever will be a family.
