Waitress Who Tackled Groper Says She's Glad To Empower Women

On Facebook Thursday, Holden said she appreciated the kind words from people responding to the video, but appeared to have had enough of the media attention.

The Savannah Morning News identified the customer as Ryan Cherwinski, 31, who was arrested and charged with sexual battery in connection with the June 30 incident.

Emilia Holden, who works at Vinni Van Go-Go's in Savannah, Ga., had just taken a customer's order and was putting away a menu when an unidentified man wearing a red shirt walked by her and allegedly grabbed her butt.

She proceeds to grab him by the collar and slam him down against the counter.

After police saw the security footage the man was arrested. She believes every woman should know it's okay to stand up for yourself whenever you're in that situation, commenting, "I just did what I felt was best".

One of the girl's co-workers then called the Savannah Police Department who sent an officer to the restaurant. "He sat in jail until Monday so in my opinion, he got what he deserved", Holden said.

Cherwinski, of Palm Bay, Florida, and Erica Martin have been together for 11 years and she was with him at the restaurant when he groped their server. "You also have the right to wear whatever you want without having to worry about being groped", she told People.

And, of course, you are 100 percent within your rights to call the police or ask someone else to do it for you. She's taking advantage of her newfound fame by raising money for cats.

She had raised $2,500 of her $5,000 goal just a few hours after launching the page. I'd like to take this opportunity to give back to something that means a great deal to me, CATS!'

At least something good can come from this whole ugly business.
