The new series on Showtime will reportedly be similar, and feature stunts involving President Donald Trump as well as other celebrities, including a segment with OJ Simpson reportedly shot back in February in his Las Vegas hotel room.
It appears Cohen's Showtime series will be called Who Is America? But apart from a few cryptic videos teasing the July 15 premiere of "perhaps the most unsafe show in the history of television", we knew little about the new series. Take, for example, convincing former Vice President Dick Cheney to sign a waterboard "kit" on camera, with a grin.
The details of Sacha Baron Cohen's mysterious comedy show Who Is America? may have only been revealed earlier today but it's already heading overseas.
"We'd like to tell you about a new comedy that's coming, but we can't". "That's a first, that's the first time I've ever signed a waterboard", he replied. The last time he appeared on the big screen was in 2016's Grimsby and Alice Through the Looking Glass. It apparently debuts Sunday, July 15, and apparently will be titled Who Is America?
Cohen's new character and conceit for the show is being kept under wraps for now, but we can't wait to see what he's been up to. That's because the latter is slated to premiere next Sunday, July 15th.
