You will need to be online to play Anthem (no offline mode)

EA E3 2018 Press conference.

This year has seen a slightly more subdued showing from the company with quite a few reminders that micro-transactions are now bad.

Other notable nuggets from the EA Play event are that there are lots of EA SPORTS titles on the way.

Vince Zampella of Respawn took to the mic to talk about what Respawn are up to. This will go along with their current events for the recent film, Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Until now, the tournament has appeared in rival football game series Pro Evolution Soccer, but that partnership ended earlier this year. The game will feature on EA Access Trial on October 11th.

It is due at the end of 2019. It seems that they have truly learned their lesson from the Star Wars Battlefront II debacle a year ago. EA confirmed that they're a trend follower and added battle royale to Battlefield V. This introduces a new co-operative mode, which ties the players together with a single strand of string.

While fans can tune in now for some of the pre-show coverage, the big reveals are scheduled to begin at 7pm, BST.

This announcement that the game lacks PvP play will come as a disappointment to many players. Put on your Javelin suit, boost out into the wilderness, and you can team up with other players again. It would be nice to see all three platforms on display, but we're probably asking for a bit too much there.

The first Unravel is actually a genuinely charming little game and well worth checking out.

A quick look was given to NBA Live 19 by means of a new trailer. It looks attractive and the art style is reminiscent of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Here's a look at the biggest reveals from EA's presser.

One question on every gamer's mind is whether there will be loot boxes.

The major gameplay proportion of Anthem's presentation was the infiltration of "scar camps", which players ransack in hope of finding echoes of the Anthem of Creation.

After the severe criticism EA received for Battlefront 2 previous year, this time around the company has vowed to change the game. It all sounds very similar to what Bungie envisioned Destiny to originally be. On top of choosing your preferred class of Javelin - which will dictate what kinds of weapons and abilities you use - you can also thoroughly kit out your suit. There was also additional gameplay footage to get fans hyped for the game. As the developers noted, the way they want it to play out is allowing the player to achieve them both in consecutive order.

Anthem will release on February 22, 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
