Star War Actress Kelly Marie Tran Removes Instagram Posts After Harassment

In today's episode of Toxic Shitheads Ruin Things For Everybody Else, Star Wars actor Kelly Marie Tran has seemingly left Instagram following months of harassment from fuckwits calling themselves fans.

Though Tran's Instagram account, which has almost 200,000 followers, is still online, there are now no posts.

Popular but unofficial "Star Wars" Twitter page "Star Wars Facts" tweeted Monday night "Kelly Marie Tran has deleted all the posts off her Instagram due to months of harassment she has received for her character Rose".

Tran seems like a delightful human being, and even went as far as befriending Star Wars fans she heard talking about the film in a pub. As the first woman of color in a major role in the franchise (and a huge nerd!) Tran also became an ambassador for diversity and positivity in Star Wars.

It is nice to see that Tran is stepping away from social media for a while in order to most likely surround herself with positivity rather than the negativity that has consumed much of the Star Wars fanbase. "I look forward to the hundreds of awesome things she will make over the course of her long career". "We like and dislike stuff but we do it with humor, love, and respect".

The description of her character Rose Tico on the Star Wars Wookieepedia website was altered by unknown users to feature offensive, racist language.

I totally embarrassingly fanned out when I met Kelly Marie Tran. She has 194,000 followers. We're the VAST majority, we're having fun & doing just fine'. Ridley never laid the blame for her departure on that gun-happy attention, but as with Tran, the timing was hard to ignore.

"It took me a year of self-work - and some really wonderful, supportive friends - to make me realize that it's none of my business if people like me or not", Tran said.

This decision by|Kelly Marie Tran to completely wipe her Instagram was most likely for the best. "I was like, 'I'm out, ' Simple as a that".

"So many people wish for something like this. That is not what I signed up for", Ridley, who played lead character Rey in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi told Glamour.
