Battlefield V was announced and received a chaotic in-engine trailer last month, and today at the EA Play event, DICE unveiled a full multiplayer gameplay trailer.
Battlefield 5 Battle Royale will be going up against Call of Duty Black Ops 4's Blackout mode as well as Fortnite and PUBG this year. We do know that developers are promising to bring us an "experience that we haven't had before", but we've heard that before.
In addition, Battlefield V players will now be able to "dive and smash through windows to surprise your enemies", move turrets around the map, drive tanks straight through buildings, and customize characters more. Check out the new E3 2018 multiplayer trailer below.
So Battlefield's take on battle royale has a lot of promise if it is executed properly, and the team at DICE have made clear that these unique aspects of Battlefield will all be present in the BR mode. It is planned to be their biggest and most immersive Battlefield game yet.
