Instagram included some filters that will help you choose the right music for your Stories, so you'll be able to search by mood, genre or what's popular. Tracks can be previewed before they're added; Once chosen, you can fast forward or rewind so the tune starts at the moment you choose.
For the time being, music will be available only in select countries, but Instagram plans on making the feature global in the future.
If you're really trying to set the mood for that ideal Instagram story, it might have just become easier.
Once you select a song, you can preview it to make sure it's the ideal song for your 'gram's story.
Users can also pre-select a song before recording a video, which then plays in the background while the clip is being recorded. Here, they can find a song, scroll through it find the desired section of the song that they wish to use, and then capture something for their Story. Be on the lookout for new songs to be added daily. It's unclear when this feature will go live in the Android app, but it shouldn't be too long. Through that same sticker feature, you can now add a licensed soundtrack to your Instagram Stories post as part of a new update.
The song will become available as a sticker, much like GIFs or locations are added on Stories now.
The feature is now available only in a few selected countries and Instagram is working towards launching the feature in more countries.
