EA Origin Access Premier subscription gets pre-launch games

Fresh out of EA's E3 conference, EA has announced 'Origin Access Premiere, ' a new cloud gaming service coming this summer with titles such as Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Anthem, Madden, and "many more titles in years to come". Some games mentioned were Madden 19, Federation Internationale de Football Association 19, Battlefield V and Anthem.

EA shared few details on the service and its capabilities, though hopes to distribute all "new PC games" through the service going forward. For $4.99 a month - or $29.99 per year - it includes more than a hundred PC games, though they're not typically the very newest titles. We're thrilled to be opening up this new way for players to access great games, with the freedom to play what they want, whenever they want. This shares similar offerings to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass, which provides access to over 100 titles and all future first-party releases on Xbox One. Dive into the action starting February 15, 2019 for Origin Access Premier members. Like the regular Origin membership, users can take 10% on other Origin digital purchases.

Last month, EA acquired a cloud-streaming technology from GameFly, and it looks like that will serve as the new backbone for the companies expanded Origin Access efforts. Alternatively, there'll be the option to pay for a full year's access, priced at $99.99.

Pre-registration for Origin Access Premier will open today, Electronic Arts says.
