Detectorists' Toby Jones claimed Best Male Comedy Performance, as Daisy May Cooper took home the female equivalent for This Country, which was also named Best Scripted Comedy.
Love Island was awarded the reality & constructed factual award, and mini series went to Three Girls.
Virgin TV's "must-see moment", voted for by the public, was presented to Blue Planet II for the "Mother Pilot Whale Grieves" scene. Former Manchester United and England footballer Rio Ferdinand won for his documentary about the death of his wife and coping as a single father.
The Crown and Netflix struggled at the Bafta Television awards as the BBC's Peaky Blinders took a surprise win in the best drama category and the big-spending streaming service managed only one major award despite leading the nominations.
Other winners included The Handmaid's Tale winning the award for best worldwide series, This Country winning Scripted Comedy, Daisy May Cooper winning Female Performance in a Comedy Program for This Country and Toby Jones winning Male Performance in a Comedy Program for Detectorists, among others.
