Marvel to introduce Muslim teenage superhero Miss Marvel to MCU

Marvel Studio's President Kevin Feige spoke with BBC News, saying the studio definitely has plans to bring the character in the MCU.

"Definitely sort of", sounds pretty definitive... kind of.

Captain Marvel is an awesome character, but her best legacy in the comics might be in the other hero inspired by her: Ms. Marvel, a role filled in the past few years by the unbelievable Kamala Khan. Now, we know that Ms. Marvel will make her way to the big screen soon; we're just not sure when. And fans have already started campaigning for Priyanka to star in it.

While nothing about the casting can be said right now, fans are surely rooting for Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra to play the much-loved Miss Marvel in the film as she voices the character in the mobile video game Marvel: Avengers Academy. Many said she was the perspective of Pakistani-Americans and asked the comic-book and film industries to follow Marvel's example.

And fans of the comic book series have called for Bollywood superstar Priyanka Chopra to land the lead role. She is, after all, possibly the most powerful superhero in the Marvel comics, and has faced Thanos and lived to tell the tale on more than one occasion in the comics. It is very possible they will debut her in a movie with a more established Marvel Cinematic Universe character like they did with Tom Holland's SPIDER-MAN, but either way, I love the character and look forward to seeing her get more exposure.

Currently, Marvel's Avengers: Infinity Waris in cinemas and breaking several global box office records.

For many, Priyanka Chopra is the flawless fit for the character.

Khan's family is from Pakistan and while she has faced problems outside of her home, there has also been struggles with her nearest and dearest.
