Janhvi Kapoor tribute to Sridevi

It was Janhvi Kapoor, her sister Khushi Kapoor and father Boney Kapoor who today received the National Award that Sridevi was given for her performance in "MOM".

To mark the special day, Janhvi Kapoor chose to wear her mother's saree to the awards ceremony.

The actress breathed her last on February 24, 2018 in Dubai where she had gone to attend a family wedding.

Boney Kapoor along with daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor went to Delhi to receive the award for Sridevi. Janhvi will soon be making her Bollywood debut with Dhadak opposite Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar. She was not just a Super Actor but a Super Wife and a Super Mom. It's time to celebrate her achievements. We also take this opportunity to thank all our friends, her fans who have been sending us congratulatory messages. In one of the pictures, we see Janhvi wiping off her father's sweat and we couldn't help but find a spitting similarity between her and Sridevi.

Daughters have always been very close to Sridevi. "What more should I say?" We feel elated and proud that she has been recognised for the hard work she put into this film. "She got many awards, but this tops the list".

When a Doordarshan anchor asked Boney to share his sentiments on Sridevi's second National Film Award, he corrected her and said, "First let me correct you".

Boney Kapoor reacted on this controversy and told media, "I would have been equally happy if the Minister (I&B) had given me the award". Boney Kapoor, who made many films with her added, "She's worked her for nearly 50 years and done good 300 films and got many awards but this tops the list".

Late actor Vinod Khanna, who passed away a year ago, was awarded India's highest film honour, the Dadasaheb Phalke award. She truly deserved this award.
