Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is getting an old-school spin-off game ahead of its release later this year. "This is that game", Igarashi explained. Below you can check out some footage for Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.
While Ritual of the Night harks back to Symphony of the Night and later Castlevania games, Curse of the Moon looks back further into the series' history for inspiration, with trippy music, a limited colour palette and a small set of animations.
Play as Zangetsu, a demon slayer bearing a deep grudge, who must travel through perilous lands to defeat a powerful demon lurking in a dark castle. Consider this a promise made and promise kept, because at BitSummit, Inti Creates, one of the developers working on Bloodstained, revealed Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Zangetsu is the main character of the game and meets the other three characters during his journey. Please select a different platform (Steam, PS4, XB1, PS Vita, or Nintendo Switch) for your Retro spin-off game before the May 18th 2018 platform-selection deadline by clicking the "Access Your Backer Survey" button below, then clicking the "Change Your Survey Answers" link. For those backers, those codes should soon be available via the official home page or a Kickstarter update, so make sure to check in.
