Ravens Want To Sign Dez Bryant To Bolster Receiver Corps

Bryant immediately deflected blame for Dallas' decision to release him, suggesting prominent players were behind it.

Bryant said he was interested in staying in the NFC East-he wanted the opportunity to play the Cowboys twice a year. There is a lot to like about the Baltimore Ravens and Dez Bryant.

If the Jacksonville Jaguars acquire another wide receiver this month, it's unlikely it will be current free agent Dez Bryant, according to Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union. But he may have found a suitor in the AFC. The Ravens already have signed receivers Michael Crabtree and John Brown this offseason but they might not be finished adding to quarterback Joe Flacco's arsenal of wideouts. The Ravens reportedly are interested. "Ravens fans, who still lament the fact that the team was unable to land Bryant in the 2010 draft, seem infatuated with the idea".

The team has more than $10 million in remaining salary cap space and can sign Bryant for less than that figure if he's willing to accept a pay cut. Last year, he caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

The native of Lufkin, TX had a career-best season in 2014 when he had 1,320 yards on 88 receptions and a league-leading 16 touchdowns. Needless to say, Bryant was not happy about it and still thinks that he has plenty left in the tank and deserves to be paid as such.
