A police spokesman on official twitter account of Jammu and Kashmir police said that "The dead body of Manzoor Ahmed Bhat who was abducted by the terrorists of outlawed LeT in the intervening night of 4/5 April was found on the outskirts of Hajin today".
Manzoor and his father were abducted by unknown gunmen from their residence in Hajin area on Wednesday evening.
The police said a local LeT's cadre is behind the killing of Butt after his kidnapping.
"People of Hajin have strong impressions of love, harmony and gratitude with jihad and militants", LeT chief said.
Parrey, a resident of Hajin, had joined the LeT ranks a year ago.
Former chief minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah criticised the silence of spearatist leaders over the incident. "The inhuman way in which the youth was done to death is against the social ethos and cultural value system of the State", said Ms. Mufti.
The same group of terrorists, including some from Pakistan, had killed a youth of Hajin a day before and dumped his bullet-ridden body on outskirts of the village. "I'm not surprised", he said. Terrorists are branding families as acting as informers for security forces and then targeting them in order to spread fear in the Valley and discourage them from alerting security forces of insurgency in the Valley. Some women were also beaten by the gunmen.
It is a clear indication that LeT terrorists were trying to reactivate their bases and hideouts in the area and wanted to send across a tough signal to local residents against sharing information with the security forces to expose their locations.
