Guardiola's defensive switch moves Man City closer to title glory

Only Manchester United (1907-08 and 2000-01) and Everton (1984-85) have ever wrapped up the title with as many games remaining, while Guardiola has also become the first Spanish coach to win the English top-flight title.

The Premier League announced on Friday that clubs had voted against implementing VAR next season, instead outlining the need to continue advanced testing. They were the right ones and the ones we believed in, I'm sure there are differences to how we play today compared to Bayern (Munich) and Barcelona, we survive and live by the strength of the team. "But in one week we lost three games". "After what happened and how the people reacted, these guys are fantastic".

Third-placed Liverpool beat Bournemouth 3-0 at home with Mohamed Salah taking his goal tally for the season to 40 in all competitions - making him only the third Liverpool player to achieve that mark in a single campaign. The 23-year-old will head to the World Cup on the back of the most prolific season of his career, with a penchant for injury-time winners amid some still erratic finishing.

"We didn't take our first chance, so hopefully we can take the second chance to celebrate with our fans next week", Guardiola said.

Chelsea kept their faint hopes of Champions League football next season alive by closing to within 7 points of Spurs with a stunning 8-minute fightback to deepen Southampton's predicament in the bottom three.

"The Champions League is seven games, you can win the Champions League but the league is every three days in the same month".

'No [I won't watch], I have golf game tomorrow'. Golf, my son, friends. "After 10 or 15 minutes I said, "we will be champions".
