BJP celebrates 38th Foundation day with 3 lakh Karyakartas

The party's senior leaders were virtually ostracised from the prevalent political scenario. The BJP is the party of "a New India" and his party "believes in India's diversity, its unique culture and the strengths of 125 crore Indians", he said.

"The Prime Minister asked all party MPs to spend two nights in villages between April 14 (the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar) and May 5".

The decision to intermingle with party workers at the ground level also reflects Prime Minister's deep assurance and respect for the institution of party members. He said the party has brought a new hope for development of the country.

As the BJP has also supported the cause during the bifurcation of the State it should initiate immediate steps in fulfilling the demand, he said.

On the 38th foundation day, apart from a function at BJP HQ in Delhi, a grand function was organized in Mumbai. "Infact, if there is one party that has consistently been a victim of political untouchability, it is the BJP".

Earlier, in his message, Mr Modi said, the BJP is the party of a New India and is privileged to receive the blessings of people of all age groups, across all sections of society.

Modi described technology as an effective way to communicate and that too, communicate the truth. The letter comes a day after Prime Minister Modi claimed that no other government had honored Dr BR Ambedkar the way his government had done. "The BJP was scared and shaken off the Opposition parties, including the NDA partners, who were joining the Opposition ranks after the realization of the deceit and hollowness of BJPs promises as in the case of AP", he said, adding that the BJP and NDA were hushing up the corruption in their ranks and particularly the criminal acts of the BJP president Amit Shah and his son.

Union Information & broadcasting minister Smriti Irani addressed the sthapna diwas function in Kolkatta and remembered the glorious past of the party.

"Ours is a Government fully dedicated to the poor and this is also seen in the working of the various state governments of the BJP".

Having won just 2 seats in 1984 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has its hold over 282 seats after 2014 general elections today, thus redefining political definitions by rising to power at the centre. Modi further said BJP's rivals are unable to come to terms with the fact that the BJP has become a party of the poor and has highest numbers of MPs and MLAs from scheduled castes and tribes.
