Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ to launch in India tomorrow

The devices would come with wireless charging and a headphone jack. While the devices have been talked about a lot in the past couple of days, it seems Samsung is now working on its next flagship which will be the successor to the Galaxy Note 8.

Introduced on February 25, the Galaxy S9 Plus bumped the Google Pixel 2 to snag the No. 1 spot on DxOMark's mobile camera ranking. The leak shows a model number SM-N960U while a Galaxy Note 8 variant available in the USA comes with the model number SM-N950U, making us believe that the leaked device is indeed a successor to the last year's Note model. And we will basically know everything about the device before it even launches. The best part is that Samsung is now allowing interested buyers and enthusiasts to pre-order the phone via the company's official website.

Building on the S9's record-breaking DxOMark camera score, Samsung's latest flagship smartphone is also garnering high praise for its display. Best Buy has also listed the page for pre-order. You could confuse the two phones at a glance. You can already set nifty shortcuts by using the shortcuts built into the side of the screen, but Samsung has added a cool App Pairing feature to the S9's Edge Panel that lets you instantly launch two apps at the same time. However, if you own an S8 and seek a boost in battery life, you may be better served skipping the S9. For the S9 Plus, you'll pay $915, or $30.50/month for 30 months.

The Galaxy S9 is available for preorder now and will release on March 16.

It's also much faster and smoother on the Galaxy S9 though that could be attributed to the new faster processor. Its accurate autofocus, solid flash, and detail preservation continue to make it a powerful companion device for photographers. When you want to use it, you simply open it and fold out the screen to reveal a smartphone with a larger display surface area.

Although there's now an option to disable it, that troublesome Bixby button from Galaxy S8 still can't be removed entirely in S9 too. This would be rebated back to your monthly bills and on certain telcos, it could be rebated across 24-months.

At&T has also listed the devices with high price tags compare to the official pricing of the device. Here are some pics we took with the Galaxy S9+.

"The way we use our smartphones has changed as communication and self-expression has evolved", said Samsung Electronics IT & Mobile Communications Division president and head of DJ Koh.
