Rousey was supposed to officially sign her Raw contract Sunday night at Elimination Chamber 2018 in Las Vegas.
Rousey has been linked with the epic match against on-screen RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and 14-time world champion Triple H for weeks. Even Ronda Rousey, one of the greatest icons in MMA history, is having a had time with that since getting signed by WWE. After Triple H escorted Angle out of the ring, he returned to the right.
McMahon said on the follow-up episode of Raw Talk that she and Triple H plan to speak to both Rousey and Kurt Angle on Monday's edition of Monday Night Raw.
Having heard that, Rousey made a decision to strike first, slamming Triple H through a table in the middle of the ring.
As Rousey suggested in her tweet, she will likely take the microphone and explain the events of the previous night.
Angle told Rousey that The Authority was looking forward to "owning" her, and that they planned to exact revenge for the events of WrestleMania 31. After putting Triple H through a table, Rousey was slapped by Stephanie McMahon. The increased ratings will also help WWE's television contract negotiations, which are set to expire next year.
While I think Ronda Rousey coming to WWE is a bit of a special case in that she's a HUGE WWE fan who brings the world of mainstream media, it is interesting that it seems to have opened the floodgates with several UFC stars at least entertaining the idea of one match in WWE.
