Randall, 25, was a first-round pick of the Packers, No. 30 overall, in 2015 out of Arizona State.
A year ago, quarterback DeShone Kizer was a borderline first-round prospect.
The Cleveland Browns made lots of moves on Friday that had fans and their own players excited and surprised. With AP Photos.A person familiar with the negotiations says the Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade quarterback DeShone Kizer to the Green Packers for cornerback Damarious Randall and an undisclosed draft pick.
Kizer's trade capped a dizzying few hours on the final Friday of the league year for the Browns, who also pulled off deals to acquire quarterback Tyrod Taylor from Buffalo and star wide receiver Jarvis Landry from Miami.
Clearly, the Packers weren't satisfied with the way Hundley performed last season after Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone. Three of those TDs were in the overtime loss to the Packers last December.
Kizer played in 15 games as a rookie last season and threw for less than 29-hundred yards with 11 touchdowns and 22 interceptions.
McCarthy publicly supported Hundley at the annual National Football League scouting combine last week, saying Hundley wasn't prepared to start and saying the coaches were also to blame for that.
But McCarthy added, "I believe in Brett Hundley. He has a big upside". "That's something that we have to learn from, and that stings". He vowed to improve and come back a better player and person. Their depth chart now consists of 2017 second-round pick Kevin King, who is coming off shoulder surgery; Quinton Rollins, a 2015 second-round pick coming off a ruptured Achilles' tendon; and youngsters Josh Hawkins, Lenzy Pipkins, Donatello Brown and Herb Waters.
