Nokia 9 may arrive in September with in-display fingerprint scanner

HMD Global is preparing to launch two new Snapdragon 845 processor powered smartphones, notably the Nokia 9 and Nokia 8 Pro. According to the latest report, Nokia 8 Pro will be launched before Nokia 9.

Earlier, it was Nokia 8 Pro that was tipped to feature the Penta-Lens camera module, but now it is tipped that Nokia 9's camera may be even more powerful.

Pre-orders are not yet open and we will let you know when the pre-order opens. Moreover, the Nokia 8 Pro will be equipped with Carl Zeiss lens with a large 5.5-inch display. It could be the HMD's first smartphone to come with the in-display sensor. It will be competing with premium flagship phones like the Samsung Galaxy S9+.

As a side note, the rumored Nokia 9 in 2017 turned out to be the Nokia 8 Sirocco.

Due to these design characteristics, the Nokia 8110 was called the banana phone back then. It includes a 12 megapixel and another 13-megapixel sensor. For the front, there would be a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The budget phone Nokia 3 is available for P500 off, and will be coming with a JBL Go Bluetooth speaker. It was also said that the Nokia 9 would be unveiled at MWC-2018 event along with a next-gen Nokia 8. The images show the smartphone featuring a glass back with a dual-camera setup on the back in a vertical arrangement at the centre and a huge 18:9 display. The phone will also get a 2MP main camera with an LED flash.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 8 Pro is expected to be launched somewhere near August and it will be running on the latest Snapdragon 845 chipset just like any of this year's top-end smartphones. It is rumored to house a 5.5-inch display. The phone is expected to launch in the USA this summer and if you're wondering about the price tag, you can rest assure that is going to be one affordable piece of 4G-capable handsets because the device will retail in Europe for €89 this May so how expensive could it really get in the U.S?

In addition to these stunning new Android smartphones, the iconic Nokia 8110 feature phone is reloaded for the classic Nokia Handset lovers and will be delivering 4G connectivity, apps including Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Search, Facebook and Twitter, and the return of the slider phone.
