The Westerville shootings came a day after a Georgia police officer was shot and killed and two sheriff's deputies were wounded by a gunman who was then killed. Police will hold a news conference Saturday afternoon.

A source from the Westerville Police Department revealed to Fox News the two officers were "reacting to a 911 hang-up call" when the shooting unfurled.

According to WBNS, the officers killed in the line of duty were Officer Anthony Morelli and Officer Eric Joering.

WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Police in Ohio said two officers were fatally shot at a home in a Columbus suburb on Saturday, and a suspect was in custody. The Columbus Division of Police will be handling the investigation.
