Riverview man arrested after kidnapping threat to singer Lana Del Rey

43-year-old Michael Hunt from Florida was intercepted outside the singer's Amway Center show in Orlando on Friday night (February 2), after the police received a tip about a potential kidnapping.

In a statement on Twitter, the Orlando Police Department (OPD) said: "The threats were reportedly made by Michael Hunt, 43, of Riverview, Florida".

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Hunt frequently used his Facebook page to profess his obsession with Del Rey. Someone called in a tip to the police, and lucky for everyone, they acted on it.

Last week, he wrote: "I want to see my queen on Friday and from that day forward our decisions will be as one".

YIKES, tbqfh. Stay safe, Lizzie.

Police found hunt at the corner of Hughey Avenue and Central Boulevard, a block from the concert, though exactly how they found him was blacked out in the arrest report.

Police had learned of these plans after Hunt posted "cryptic and threatening" messages on Facebook before the show, as the Orlando Sentinel reports. He had two concert tickets and a folding knife with a three-inch blade. Lana knows I'm here.

Hunt, according to the affidavit, has a long criminal past with as many as "61 felony convictions from drugs to violent crimes". Jail records did not show whether he had an attorney.

Fortunately, the "Lust for Life" singer seemed to be unphased by the incident and continued to perform on Friday night as scheduled.

Hunt is now being held in Orange County Jail without bond.

She added that she was "feeling super lucky after a couple of days of fantastic shows" and that she was "grateful".
