The idea behind this program is to make it easier for enterprises to select Android devices, and to that end, it addresses features such as proper implementation of Android enterprise, support for Zero Touch, hardware specifications, speed and length of security updates (within 90 days, for three years), and availability of unlocked devices.

Android One is a value program created to give customers a baseline of what to expect out of certain budget devices, while Android Oreo (Go Edition) is a tweaked version of Android that's made from the ground up, including optimized apps, to run well on low-end devices with no more than 1GB of RAM. The Oreo update was supposed to arrive in February but it's still a chimera for the majority of regular users.
