Dortmund Agree Loan Deal For Chelsea Striker Michy Batshuayi

Batshuayi is understood to be part of a potential combination of transfers that could see him join Dortmund as Aubameyang's replacement, after Arsenal confirmed they had completed a club-record move for the Gabon worldwide.

According to John Cross of the Daily Mirror, Dortmund are not willing to let their star striker depart until they have secured a replacement for him.

Giroud has been heavily linked with a move across London in the hopes of gaining more playing time ahead of the 2018 World Cup this summer.

Olivier Giroud was named on the Arsenal bench at Swansea on Tuesday night despite reports suggesting the France striker has agreed an £18million move to Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund haveagreed a deal to sign Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi on loan for the rest of the season, subject to a medical.

Following Alexis Sanchez's switch to Premier League rivals Manchester United earlier in the January transfer window, Arsenal moved to secure the signing of Gabon worldwide Aubameyang.

"I think the club have such a big history with great players like Thierry Henry, so it's an example for us strikers. he was fast and scored a lot of goals".

The playmaker has made 21 appearances this term, scoring four goals and recording six assists, and his new deal commits him to the Premier League club until he is 32. "He has not played many games in the Premier League since the start of the season and he is a regular player in the French national team", added the Frenchman.

With Giroud only featuring sporadically for Arsene Wenger, Henry finds no fault in his compatriot's decision to go to Chelsea. Arsenal, however, are demanding more than €30m for Giroud, 31, because they are reluctant to sell to a direct rival.
