Denver Nuggets' last shot comes up short against San Antonio Spurs

The Nuggets are winless at 0-4 against the spread in their last four games against the Spurs and are winless at the betting window in their last four trips to San Antonio as well. Pre-game coverage begins at 7:30 p.m., with tip-off set for 8:00 p.m.

The Denver Nuggets hosted the Boston Celtics on Monday night for a game that was broadcasted on NBA TV. Boston's effective field goal percentage was their largest advantage over Denver. He is also averaging 24.9 points per game in his first season with the Celtics, and will likely again hear chants of "M-V-P" from the TD Garden crowd Wednesday night. The Spurs had a superb offensive rebounding percentage of 31.7 (above their season average of 23.0) and had a turnover percentage of 6.7 (better than their season average of 12.6).

SAN ANTONIO (AP) - After their recent struggles offensively, the Spurs welcomed the chance to match baskets with the Denver Nuggets and play at a fast pace. Aldridge poured in 20 points on 10-for-13 shooting from the floor but did not attempt a free throw. We know they have to consistently play better than they have been over these last couple weeks if they are going to be winning these games. The Nuggets got the defensive rebound following a missed basket by Irving with seven seconds left and they didn't call a timeout to advance ball, giving themselves a better chance to score the game victor.

His long-distance shot from the left corner with 33.3 seconds remaining proved to be the difference for Boston, as the Celtics held off the Nuggets' furious second-half rally to win 111-110 on Monday night.

While Boston ranks second allowing just 98.8 points per game, they have given up at least 102 in five straight. In the first, the Nuggets lost 112-80, unable to cover as 7-point underdogs. He puts up 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 blocks a night. The game finished with a total of 192 points, which was 16 points below the projected point total of 208 points.

"That's definitely the Spurs way", San Antonio point guard Dejounte Murray said. Denver, meanwhile, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (22.9 vs. 16.7).

The two teams played in Denver on January 13, with San Antonio crushing the Nuggets 112-80.

When scoring more than 100 points, the Spurs are 26-3 and the Nuggets are 20-15.

Points in the paint for Denver continued to pile up even late in the game with Murray finishing another lay up to bring the Nuggets within one.

San Antonio had to battle to win its 11th straight at home over Denver.

It was a welcome change for San Antonio, which was in an offensive rut in its two previous games of a five-game homestand. That marked the biggest lead of the game for Indiana.

They are 2-5 in their last seven games and their guards are banged up, but survived the high altitude and escaped Denver - barely.

San Antonio is 3-2 ATS with 3 overs and 2 unders over their last five games.
