Cheryl responds to BRITs 'stunt' accusations

It comes after Cheryl and Liam looked very cosy at the do despite recent speculation suggesting they could break up soon after apparently having "crisis talks" about their two-year relationship.

However, they were then hit with rumours it had all been a publicity stunt.

After reports of an impending split, Cheryl and Liam Payne put an end to the rumours with a loved-up, if not at times awkward, turn at the Brits.

The 31-year-old was concerned Cheryl might not see the amusing side. Use your platform to put something productive in your columns. "I opened a centre this week that could help thousands of youth!"

Many speculated that the happy appearance last night was simply a facade, but Cheryl clapped back to those speculations this morning on Twitter, writing they're "ludicrous" and "a bit weird".

Cheryl was there to support Liam, who performed his song For You from the new Fifty Shades Freed film on stage with Rita Ora.

The 38th BRIT Awards take place at London's O2 Arena this evening (February 21). A source revealed to the publication that Cheryl and Liam were trying to hide their relationship woes with an overzealous display.

HAIM were at the BRITs in honour of their "Best International Group" nomination however, they went home empty handed.

As the couple chatted to host Jack Whitehall the bassist from Haim was mouthing the words "call me" and suggestively winking behind them.

But their sudden onslaught of loved up selfies on Instagram last night before they turned up at the BRITs together had people questioning whether it was all a "stunt". They welcomed their son Bear in March 2017.

Despite rumours that their busy schedules were putting pressure on the romance, Chiam appeared closer than ever on the carpet.

Liam has since gone on to launch his solo career and been travelling the glove.
