Trump says he would beat Oprah Winfrey in presidential race

President Donald Trump says he would beat Oprah Winfrey in a presidential contest but doesn't think she will run. He says, "Oprah would be a lot of fun".

"I like Oprah. I don't think she's going to run". But in our transformed political culture, the notion that this would prevent her from winning the Democratic nomination - even in a party that has spent the last two years mocking Trump for the same attribute - is absurd. "Listen, Oprah has got a very nice life".

Oprah was capitulated into the political spotlight Sunday as she accepted a lifetime achievement honor at the Golden Globe Awards and made an impassioned speech about female empowerment in the wake of rampant sexual abuse against women in Hollywood and the nation. "I don't think at this point she's actually considering it".

Trump's comments came after a meeting with senators.

And though any Democrat can count on the support of the mainstream media that is already at war with the president, Oprah's open flattery of the press in her speech is a reminder that she will be operating with another built-in advantage that will make it even more hard for primary rivals to attack her.

Lady Gaga and Anna Paquin are among the stars urging Oprah Winfrey to seriously consider a run for America's top office in 2020. I do think that.

Reagan does not believe Winfrey purposely tried to stoke talk of a presidential run.

"I have people calling me - very important names that I won't name - who said, 'I will be her campaign manager". If your cable operator does not have Newsmax TV just call and ask them to put us on - Call toll-free 1-844-500-6397 and we will connect you right away to your cable operator!

"She would be a serious candidate", said Jennifer Palmieri, former White House communications director under President Barack Obama and the communications director for Hillary Clinton's 2016 campaign.

Since then, there has been a groundswell of support for Winfrey to throw her hat in the ring - something the actress and queen of daytime talk is said to be not actively pursuing, but admits she finds intriguing.

Further praising her friend, King gushes, "I am still really on cloud nine for what she did".

Oprah Winfrey for President?

There has been intense speculation that Oprah could launch a candidacy after a rousing speech at the 2018 Golden Globes. I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon.

"She really wanted to give a message of hope, which she did", King says of Winfrey's intention behind the message.

Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel said Monday that he preferred Winfrey to Trump.
