While this doesn't bode particularly well for this leak, it's the retailer itself - Dutch-based Coolshop - which is of interest as it's the same place that correctly leaked the official launch date for Grand Theft Auto V. Not everyone believed them, but it turned out they were right.
While it's unknown if Red Dead Redemption 2 will ever make its way to PC since the previous Red Dead game didn't, being skeptical of the release date could save you from heartbreak should Rockstar decide to announce a slightly later date in the coming months.
Danish retailer Coolshop is at it again.
Red Dead Redemption 2 being one of the most anticipated games for 2018 and possibly a contender for Game of The Year, will most likely follow this principle of no rushing.
Of course, any retailer listing posted prior to a Rockstar confirmation should be taken with a grain of salt.
According to a product page at Coolshop, that as of this writing is still in place, Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on June 8, 2018.
It's not the most credible of sources. The once fabled sequel to Rockstar's critically acclaimed western has had next to no information released about it since it was announced aside from two fairly vague trailers. He's an outlaw in the Van der Linde gang. We know that. But ads help us pay the bills. However, the first was a brief teaser that mainly focused on the luscious environments within the game. Both GTA V and RDR2 are developer by Rockstar Games.
Still, it looks as though we're less than six months away from one of the biggest games in years hitting our consoles.
We're sure Rockstar's PR team has a plan but, if June 8 is indeed the new launch date, you would think The Game Awards earlier this month would have been the flawless time to make the final reveal.
