According to the outlet, Sony may introduce these three new low to mid-range devices at CES next week or may hold off until MWC in February. Although we are quite disappointed with the fact that Sony has decide to retain the same old design, the flagship Xperia XZ Premium 2 is expected to feature a bezel-less design.
The master leaker and VentureBeat mobile reporter is unfortunately not in a position to verify gossip of the three devices' announcement timing. As far as the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra are concerned, they still share Sony's familiar loop design.
The leak also indicates that the memory configurations of the Sony Xperia XA2 and the XA2 Ultra will remain unchanged at 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of storage. I do like what Sony is doing with the rear-facing fingerprint readers, though.
This is pretty much a first from Sony and we can also add dual cameras to that list. The Sony XA2 is rumored to get a 21MP rear-facing camera paired with a 7MP front-facing camera, and the Xperia XA2 Ultra will reportedly have a 21MP rear camera along with a pair of 15MP front-facing cameras.
On the camera front, both the smartphones will bear the same rear camera of 21-megapixel with 4K recording. The Xperia L2 does not seem to have a dedicated camera button, but apart from that, rest of the design largely remains the same. Both the smartphones will ship the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.
The Xperia XA2 will feature a 5.2-inch FHD 1080p display, an upgrade from last year's 5.0-inch 720p screen for XA1.
Coming to the third phone - which is the Xperia L2 - Sony may not include Oreo - instead, the phone may come with Android Nougat.
