As yet there are no details on how much this new LG 4K UHD Projector will retail for, we will have more details at CES 2018 next week. It is created to deliver ultra-sharp video in a compact, portable form factor that stands upright. It can also support HDR content for a complete cinematic experience at the comfort of your home. Two 7-watt speakers deliver high-quality audio.
LG Electronics is committing to expanding its competitiveness in 4K UHD home projectors with the HU80K series, its first 4K UHD 1 projector, the recipient of CES' Best of Innovation award for delivering ultra-sharp video and a home cinema experience in a compact, attractive design.
The LG 4K projector supports USB drive, has HDMI port, Bluetooth and optical sound output.
LG engineers and designers downsized the 4K UHD projector without sacrificing image quality.
The company hails its mirrorless I-shaped engine technology for being able to attain the compact size and design of the projector. Alongside, it also supports HDR content (HDR-10) and LG's webOS 3.5 smart TV interface that offers access to popular video streaming services that also feature 4K video content. There is also a unique mirror reflector that acts as a lens cover to protect the device from dust and moisture when not in use.
LG is gearing up to showcase its first 4K UHD projector at the upcoming CES 2018 event. No word on pricing just yet, but like we said it will be shown off at CES next week, so hopefully those details will be available then. Of course we can't speak to its quality based on the renders we're seeing, but LG is expected to demo it at CES 2018 next week, so we'll probably find out more then.
