Penn State to play Washington in Fiesta Bowl

Their last meeting was in the 1983 Aloha Bowl in Hawaii, where Penn State won 13-10.

Penn State will head back home to face Wisconsin. "This is a reward for them, and an opportunity to be together one more time and continue to create pride in our University".

The University of Washington Huskies are heading to the Fiesta Bowl.

Fiesta Bowl tickets can be purchased here. "We expect to see 107K strong out in full force in Glendale for one final game with this special group of seniors". It will be the Nittany Lions' 7th appearance in the Fiesta Bowl, but it's the first since they beat Texas 20 years ago. Curtis Enis was the offensive player of the game, while Brandon Noble was the defensive player of the game. That decision avoided three straight trips to the Fiesta for Ohio State and also a Penn State-USC rematch in the Fiesta.

This time it will be the Fiesta Bowl against Washington, with the game scheduled for 4 p.m. on December 30 at the Arizona Cardinals' University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Penn State gutted it out down the stretch and fended off an Iowa rally for a 77-73 win at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in its 2017-18 Big Ten season opener.

The Huskies finished their season at 10-2 overall, just like Penn State, and missed out on a berth in the PAC-12 Championship game to Stanford.
