Moyes baffled by Bournemouth equaliser - AFC Bournemouth 3-3 West Ham United

Austria forward Arnautovic's late double nearly carried West Ham to a turnaround victory at Bournemouth on Boxing Day, only for the Cherries to steal a dramatic 3-3 draw.

"As for Bournemouths third goal, I can not understand how Madley overruled his assistant, who appeared to flag for offside when Nathan Ake headed to Callum Wilson and was in a much better position to see the infringement".

Marko Arnautovic believes his team were very unlucky not to get all three points against Bournemouth. "I think Madley was trying to be too clever by ignoring his assistant", he added. Offside. Which arguably you could say it is.

"The mistake was the referee went to the linesman".

Wilson's effort, which was initially disallowed, sparked a discussion between officials before they allowed the goal despite the Bournemouth man being offside and handling the ball.

The Hammers took the lead during the game through a goal from James Collins before goals from Dan Gosling and Nathan Ake put the Cherries ahead.

The Austrian now has five in as many games, and Moyes said: 'I told him that if he wasn't going to run he wasn't going to play.

"Fortunately enough, we have another game on Tuesday, so we'll go again then".

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe was left to lament losing star striker Jermain Defoe to a 10-week recovery period after an ankle fracture.

"We're disappointed because we're in the dying minutes and we've got ourselves 3-2 up", Moyes said.

All Whites captain Winston Reid was relegated to the bench as West Ham fought to a 3-3 English Premier League (EPL) draw against Bournemouth on Wednesday morning (NZ time).

"I have no hesitation in playing any of them, so I don't think Jermain's injury forces my hand at all".

Asmir Begovic made two blunders to allow Marko Arnautovic to bag a brace in the final ten minutes, although a refereeing decision cost them two precious points.
